The nude pump has pretty much become a staple in women's closet in the past years... and rightly so. There are just so many benefits to nude pumps: they elongate the legs, they're slimming and a they're a great neutral to have in your closet that can work for you all year long. A perfect alternative to the basic black pump on days when your outfit needs a little bit of extra umph. Nelly is doing some pretty fab asymmetric pumps this season and one of my favorites are these nude suede with rose gold cap pumps.
We've been playing Flo Rida's "Wild Ones" ft. Sia non stop at Style The Luxe HQ lately. Feels like summer! :)
Double Denim: the name says it all. Wearing head to toe denim can be a bit tricky, but I love pairing a lighter wash top with very dark wash jeans. Be careful with the accessories though. Camel or tan leather always works well with denim, but steer clear of anything remotely western looking or the outfit becomes a costume. No beuno gringo! Notice that I opted for a Trench coat instead of a leather or suede jacket. It's for the same reasons.
No need to explain, let's get right into it.
First up "Girl with Curves". The curvy girl behind this blog is Tanesha Awasthi. Her style is best described as feminine and classic with a modern twist. She's been featured in The New York Times, Glamour Magazine and even on a billboard in Times Square for Forever21! And you can see why... She is absolutely gorgeous.
Then there's Gabi from GabiFresh (formerly The Young, Fat and Fabulous). Trust me, you are going to fall in love with Gabi just like I did! I love not only her style, which is very fresh and young, but I also adore her spirit and carefree daring! My favorite Gabi quote is: "Everybody is a bikini body"!
And finally, meet Addi from "The Curve & The Line". Addi's taste is quirky and exquisite at the same time. She really thinks about what she's wearing: proportions, patterns, influences... she considers it all in her choices. Her blog is a refreshing and intelligent look at dressing the plus size woman.
Before I let you go though, I also want to share 2 last links with you that I think are great style & fashion resources for curvy ladies:
1. The Curvy Fashionista: This site features newest offerings from designers of plus size fashion, outfit posts, events & shopping tips.
Oh and please feel free to share if you know of more fabulously curvy bloggers!
Aahhh the maxi dress, very much a summer staple and so easy to wear. I have to admit, I also find it perfect for covering up my not quite "bikini ready" body. :) I love this gray maxi dress from Topshop. If you have a fuller figure, I definitely advise that you opt for one solid color, which always has a slimming effect. A too busy print can be... well, too much.
The girl? Columbine Smille.
The shoes? Charlotte Olympia "Charlotte's Web" velvet slippers. These would look oh so fab with those leopard print jeans!
Oh and while we're talking about Charlotte Olympia, check this cute DIY tutorial I found over at P.S. I made this on making your own "Kitty" loafers.

Can I get a whoop whoooop! :) Carine Roitfeld has collaborated with MAC to create a make up collection!!
The line will launch this fall, coinciding with the launch of Carine's new magazine which launches in September. The products will be based on Mme Roitfeld’s signature look: smokey, strong brows and nude lips. The image above is from the campaign which was shot by Mario Sorrenti. Surprisingly it's in black and white, which is a bit odd for a makeup campaign. However, it definitely captures her sexy Parisienne vibe. :-)
As is often the case with MAC collaborations, Roitfeld was involved in all aspects of her collection: packaging, product names, and palettes. I absolutely HAVE to get my hands this collection! Will keep you posted as soon as product images surface. Are you looking forward to Carine's collab collection with MAC?

Leopard print flats... In my opinion every woman should own a pair. They inject a bit of sass into even the most basic / boring office appropriate of outfits. Case in point: The basic black suit.
What? Animal prints are not your "thing" you say? Sister, we need to talk! Call me... Soon. :)
