It was only a matter of time before the perfect dupes for Isabel Marant's Renell jeans came on the market. I found this pair at Missguided. These are the Jesy Tribal Seam Detail Skinny Jeans.

Not bad... The price, at ₤35 ($55/€42) isn't too shabby either. However, Missguided only has this black version and when I checked their site today, they were only still available in sizes 8 and 14. Hopefully they'll be restocked soon. Missguided offers international shipping for about ₤16 ($25/€18), so feel free to go get'em here!

But wait there is more!
If you are after something closer to the original, check out the Pyxis Embroidered Skinny Jean at Jessica Buurman. These are $159, but like I told you before Jessica Buurman does offer free international shipping.

And in case you were wondering the Pyxis is also available in white. Get 'em here.

And lastly, if you really want something identical to the original *cough knock off cough* and you're not afraid to shop on e-bay, then mosey on over and take a look at these Vincent Embroidered Jeans.

These too are available in white as well and cost about ₤37 ($58/€45) excluding shipping, which is very reasonable. Be warned though, they do run a bit small, so order one size up from your normal jean size. Get 'em here.

Absolutely stunning!

I love pairing satin tops with suits. They always add the perfect amount of femininity to the most masculine of outfits.

Cowl neck dark brown satin top - Ports 1961, Gray tailored jacket - Stella McCartney
Beige coat - Zero Maria Cornejo, Tailored wool pants - DKNY, Brown wedge booties - Rupert Sanderson,
Brown leather bag - Yves Saint Laurent, Gold watch - Marc by Marc Jacobs, Gold & strass ring - Kohls

We all have our days when we just can't be bothered to get all dolled up... but on the other hand we still want to look cute and somewhat put together, 'cause you never know who you might run into right? Right.

A structured statement jacket like this one from TIBI will give just about any outfit a sense of sophistication. Luxe accessories like a gold watch and cashmere scarf pull it all together, resulting in a casual yet chic look.

Rose gold chronograph watch - Michael Kors, Creme cashmere gauze scarf - Destin

I've had this blazer in the back of my mind since I told you about it back in November. So when I saw it in the sales last week at 50% off, I jumped at the chance to get it. The gold bracelet is from H&M as well. It's a bangle with a little chain fastening, which I think makes it kind of dainty and sweet.

The loafers I found at New Look. They are a size too big, but that was easily remedied with a pair of wool insoles. Mmmm... so cozy!

Have you ever heard the saying: "What grows together, goes together"? Well that's what I think of the color palette of this outfit. I love how the dark green of this Malene Birger leather skirt "goes" with the dark brown sweater.

Taupe suede knee high boots - Christian Louboutin, Python handbag - Givenchy
Gold bangle - Stella McCartney, Glass "Arty" ring - Yves Saint Laurent

Dear Shoe Fairy,

You know you're my girl right? You always come through and hook me up with the most spectacular finds, but I need to ask a favor... I need to make a wish...

See, I'm searching for the perfect pair of western style beige suede ankle boots. The Dickers and Jalouses are just not for me. I need a less tomboyish/hipster and more lady-like style. Something with a higher heel... some thing like this...

Ash - Icone

Or even better, this...
Ash - Mika
Now, I know both of these are from past seasons and impossible to find online. Believe me, I have searched. So I'm not asking for miracles. All I need is a little bit of your usual magic, fairy dust, mojo-thingy to help me find something similar. Thanks hun!

I believe... I believe... I believe... I believe... I believe... I believe... I believe... I believe... I believe...

I just got sent this and I had to share! It.is.hilarious.

"OMG, Is that Wang?!" "Obsessed!" :)
Have I told you about my love of all things leopard? :)

Chiffon leopard print blouse - Equipment, Camel blazer - Rag& Bone, Cropped mint green trousers - EMILIO PUCCI,
Brown suede lace up boots - Chinese Laundry, Brown leather tote - Marc by Marc Jacobs, Gold bangle - Oscar de la Renta, Diamond stud earrings - Jamie Wolf , Brown leather belt with tassles - French Connection, Dark brown suede gloves - Bluefly

Update:  Check out MORE ASYMMETRIC pumps from Office!

I've found a new pair of asymmetric pumps, but I seriously doubted whether I should share them with you or not... for the following reasons:

a. Although I am not completely opposed to "inspired by" / knock off peices, I am not one to actively promote them either.

b. I think they are a bit overpriced.

However, as you can see from the popular posts list to the right, the asymmetric pump is clearly still very much in demand. Which is why I decided to go ahead and share this info and let you make up your own minds. These are the Jessica Buurman "Lana" Asymmetric Black Suede Pumps.

They're spot on no doubt. But before you whip out your credit-card, ready go click happy, consider that the original ZARA asymmetric courts were €80, River Island's asymmetric pumps were only €50 and Bershka's version a mere €30. These Lana's cost €110! And yes I get it, it's Economics 101:

High demand + low supply = High price.

But instinctively, something feels wrong about paying more than the price of the original for what is essentially a copy. That said, Jessica Buurman does offer free worldwide shipping, so I suppose those costs are calculated into the price somewhere. The Lana is also available in white and, finally, here is the link: GET 'EM HERE.

Shaky pic of what I wore today out to breakfast at Stroom with Le BF.

Perhaps a better pic of the outfit, but a much less blogger-licious pose. :)

T-shirt, jeans and flats - Zara, Jacket - WE Fashion, Watch - Michael Kors, Bracelet - Hermes

And while I'm posting shaky pics...  If you follow STL on Twitter, you've probably already seen my new lovelies.

I'm telling you, the pic on H&M's website doesn't do them justice... even my shaky phone pics do a better job of illustrating just how sexy these babies are.

Twenty years ago the average fashion model weighed 8% less than the average woman. Today, she weighs 23% less...

This is just one of the thought provoking facts and figures stated in Plus Model Mag's much buzzed about article: "Plus Size Bodies, What is Wrong With Them Anyway?", featured in their January 2012 issue. I truly believe that it is imperative that we as women remain very mindful of what we let influence your perceptions beauty, health and what is "normal".

I also strongly advise that, if you really want to, you go ahead and have that cupcake. Have a fab weekend ladies!
I looove Barcelona! The shopping, the weather, the food and just the general vibe of the city. My dream is to live there someday and these cold winter days have definitely got us yearning for warmer climates, but until that time we'll have to make do with long weekend city trips.

With all the attention that the Celine Boston Luggage Tote and the Classic Box Bag have been getting, it might have been easy to miss the Celine Cabas Shopper Tote.

But H&M didn't and neither did Pella. She spotted and of course snapped up the gray version when we were in Barcelona last year.

And a few weeks ago I spotted her with this tan & black version as well.

Since I hadn't seen them in stores here in NL, I just figured it was pure luck that she was able to find one. It seems however, that the rest of us are in luck as well. They are both available in H&M's online store now and you're not going to believe the price! € 19,95! Get 'em here!

We are playing Studio Killers' Ode to the Bouncer non stop right now. Great track, cheeky lyrics and the video is so cute... albeit in a weird and slightly perplexing way. Loving it!

A LBD will forever be an absolute must have in any woman's wardrobe. It doesn't have to be expensive either, this dress from Coggles is just $51!  And how sexy are these zip bow D&G sandals?!

Black cocktail dress - Coggles, Black wool coat - MaxMara, Zip bow strappy sandals - D&G
Aventurine jewelry - Ela Stone, Leather belt - Lara Bohinc
I have a secret... I have the biggest crush on Adrien Brody. Le BF cracks up every time he sees him, because he can't for the life of him understand why. Ah well... I have my reasons and that's all my honor and good taste will allow me to say. Anywho... (fans self) moving on to Prada's Fall 2012 menswear runway show.

I've been seeing a lot of dupes (read: blatant knock offs) for the Isabel Marant Dicker boots lately. Although they are are not really my style, I couldn't keep this particular find from you. New Look is now offering a black as well as a tan/beige version* in their online store. The price is right at just about € 80. Considering that the original would set you back at least € 550, I'd say New Look's got a pretty good deal. Get 'em here!

* There is also a hideously tacky leopard print version. Given my penchant for all things leopard, surely you can begin to grasp the level of ugliness that New Look achieved with those boots, if even I give them a definite "No!". :)
I love this sheer printed blouse. It's a great way to work the sheer trend for the office and it's a nice pop of bright colors for the dark winter months.

Sheer blouse with bird print - Yumi, Camel coat - MaxMara, Shawl collar blazer - Barneys
Black wool pants - True Royal, Black high heel shoe boots - Rupert Sanderson, Tan leather handbag - Zara
Gold ring with turquoise stone - Tagliamonte, Black leather gloves - Danier
The shoe fairy has been good to me! I thought that I had missed out on these H&M wedge boots. They weren't in the stores when I looked last week and I checked H&M's online shop last night but I couldn't find them there either. This morning though, I thought I'd check again (obsessive much?) and there they were*... half off!! Nice!

The shape reminds me so much of these Guiseppe Zannoti boots that I told you about back in September. And I like that the boot shaft is not as high as on the Zanotti's, makes them easier to wear with jeans etc.

In other shoe fairy related news... sometimes also you get what you need!

I found these fab ankle boots at New Yorker yesterday, which I honestly "needed" since my other leather ankle boots had developed the most annoying and not to mention embarrassing squeak in the right boot. I'm so in love with these. I'm taking them to my shoe repair guy later to have the heel shortened (just a bit, 1cm tops) and rubber heel caps put on them.

* UPDATE 18.1.2012: If you're interested in the H&M wedges, please keep checking the link. Sometimes they are sold out, but I've noticed that H&M keeps restocking them.
Today's casual outfit is all about stylish comfort. In these colder months I love to just throw on a cozy sweater, jeans and a great pair of flat boots. It's so easy and comfortable. Pair with a good coat and a fab bag and you're out the door.

Crew neck sweater - Pringle of Scotland, Wool coat - Mulberry, Black skinny fit jeans - TopShop
Gray suede thigh high boots - Fendi, Soft leather handbag - Givenchy
Pear stud earrings - Monet, Tan sheepskin gloves - Friis Company
If, like me, you're lusting after the Isabel Marant Cleane Booties, but you wince every time you see the € 600 price tag, then these suede River Island Black Point Ankle Boots just might do the trick.

Okay so let's see what we're working with here... A side by side comparison.

Dupes the River Island boots are not. The lines are in my opinion, a bit more dramatic and curvier than the Isabel Marants, but I do love the slope at the ankle on both of them. I think they will do just fine. The River Island booties retail for about €140 and you can get 'em here!
