I've found a new pair of asymmetric pumps, but I seriously doubted whether I should share them with you or not... for the following reasons:

a. Although I am not completely opposed to "inspired by" / knock off peices, I am not one to actively promote them either.

b. I think they are a bit overpriced.

However, as you can see from the popular posts list to the right, the asymmetric pump is clearly still very much in demand. Which is why I decided to go ahead and share this info and let you make up your own minds. These are the Jessica Buurman "Lana" Asymmetric Black Suede Pumps.



They're spot on no doubt. But before you whip out your credit-card, ready go click happy, consider that the original ZARA asymmetric courts were €80, River Island's asymmetric pumps were only €50 and Bershka's version a mere €30. These Lana's cost €110! And yes I get it, it's Economics 101:

High demand + low supply = High price.

But instinctively, something feels wrong about paying more than the price of the original for what is essentially a copy. That said, Jessica Buurman does offer free worldwide shipping, so I suppose those costs are calculated into the price somewhere.     I was wondering if you had experience ordering with Jessica Buurman before. I went through check out and was about to purchase until I was redirected to a sketchy looking Chinese payment processing site where I stopped.

    Have you had any experience with them?

  3. Hey there, I don't have any personal experience with ordering from Jessica Buurman, I still think they're overpriced on some items. However, it is a well known online store and seems legit enough. Maybe you can check out TheFashionSpot to see what other people are saying.. I know a lot of girls there have ordered from Jessica Buurman.

    I ordered a pair of Prada-inspired shoes and they arrived quickly and I'm impressed by the quality. Their ability to replicate the actual packaging, shoes was crazy to me. I also worried about the chinese payment but after my order I guess they are reliable.
