New York-based fashion designer Charlotte Ronson's makeup collection for Sephora.

The collection is said to have been inspired by Charlotte's fashionable friends and muses. It looks promising; cute packaging, nice colors.

It features four eye shadow palettes, a lip gloss, a blush/bronzer, a face and body glow powder, a finishing powder, a face and body glow lotion, a “beach hair” product, and a makeup bag to tote it all. Charlotte has named the products after famous muses so you will find products named after her sister Samantha, Nicole Richie, and Rashida Jones, just to name a few. The Charlotte Ronson for Sephora collection is available now at Sephora stores, as well as online at Sephora.com. Prices start at $14.
It is not without a little shame that I admit to you that I am so LOVING this song right now... :) Have a great weekend everyone!

When Kelly from the Glamourai showed us these pics of her home last December, my mouth fell open as I stared at the screen, gasping for breath with a 1000 light bulbs going on in my head. I was soooo inspired! I still look at those photo's from time to time. I just love it. Such a perfect space...

I picked up this jacket a week ago in a little boutique. Cute chain detailing and I love the Balmain-esque shoulders. Plus it looks amazing on!!

My love for and fascination with this woman is undying.

“I prayed for change, so I changed my mind.

I prayed for guidance and learned to trust myself.

I prayed for happiness and realized I am not my ego.

I prayed for peace and learned to accept others unconditionally.

I prayed for abundance and realized my doubt kept it out.

I prayed for wealth and realized it is my health.

I prayed for a miracle and realized I am the miracle.

I prayed for a soul mate and realized I am the One.

I prayed for love and realized it’s always knocking, but I have to allow it in.”

Ahhh.... to be so stylish as Ken Jeong.... You gotta love GQ for making great shoots!

What is essential to a vase and what is superfluous? Think about it...

Weight vases by Thai designer Decha Archjananun.

In the designer's own words:

What is a vase? How does it work?

Those were simple questions I asked myself for this historical object which was created since Neolithic period. I found that, all the vases in the world have a same basic principle to hold flowers. There are 2 important parts which function differently. Top part (vase-mount), has a duty to hold flower stem and base part, to hold water and also offer a stability to the vase. “Weight” brings a new perspective on a vase design by the separation of 2 different parts which support each other. Water container made of concrete pile-up on a steel piece to give a stability for holding flowers. In the collection, there are 4 vases for different flower setting from single flower to flowers panel.

A couple of years ago there was a bit of a buzz amoung beauty bloggers that Nivea Creme is essentially a cheaper (and some claimed better) version of Creme De La Mer, the high-end cult creme with the equally high-end hefty price tag.

On paper it does seem that there is some basis to the rumors. With the exception of a few oils and seaweed extract, the ingredients in Nivea Creme and Creme De La Mer are the same.

Ingredients in Nivea Creme:

Seaweed Extract, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Glycerin, Isohexadecane, Lime Extract,Microcrystalline Wax, Lanolin Alcohol, Sesame Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Magnesium Sulfate, Sesame Seeds, Alfalfa Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Powdered Almonds, Sodium, Potassium, Copper, Selenium, Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc Gluconate, Paraffin, Vitamin E Succinate, Niacin, Beta Carotene, Decyl Oleate, Aluminum Stearate, Octyldodecanol, Citric Acid, Cyanocobalamin, Magnesium Stearate, Panthenol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Alcohol Denat, Fragrance.

Ingredients in Creme De La Mer:

Water, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Glycerin, Microcrystalline Wax, Lanolin Alcohol, Paraffin, Panthenol, Alcohol Denat, Magnesium Sulfate,
Decyl Oleate,Octyldodecanol, Aluminum Stearate, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Magnesium Stearate,
Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinon.

Both cremes are petrolatum and lanolin based. These are the cheapest ingredients possible, they are used in many creams and have the sole purpose of holding moisture within the skin. Apparently they even smell the same!

In practice though... how do they compare? I found this article on Natural n' Chic Makeup blog with an extensive comparison of both creams. It has lot's and lot's of comparison pic's!!

Of course I've tried Nivea Creme. After all who doesn't have a tin of it at home. In all honesty though, I can not report any miraculous effects. Sure it's a great body moisturizer if you have dry skin, but as a face creme  it's just way to thick and oily for me.

I have never tried Creme De La Mer though, and I seriously doubt I ever will. But after reading that article my verdict is this: Nivea might or might not be miracle creme that everyone and their grandmothers (literally) are making it out to be. I suppose it depends on the person and what their skins needs. HOWEVER, there is no need whatsoever to go out and spend ridiculous amounts of money on Creme De La Mer, when Nivea is essentially just as good!
This pic of Julia Sarr-Jamois made me smile. Those shoes!

We're having just about the most sun-less summer ever (we live in the Netherlands), but this is keeping me happy for now. :)

Mulberry's Fall 2011 collection is feminine winter luxury. With sheer floor length skirts, and the return of wide waled corduroy, sexy/chic librarian seems to be the look they were going for.

Some of my favorite looks from the Fall 2011 collection:

The Fall 2011 campaign video is sweet, in a sort of quirky way.

This is perfection. The pinstripe combo, the bag, the hat, the hair... Great Fall wardrobe inspiration.

This is one of my "go-to" looks. A striped top, jeans and red ballets flats, or other red accessories. It's quick, simple, easy and always gets the right balance of casual and chic.

If your going for the casual look, don't add more than one red accessory. It just looks a bit overdone, like you're 'trying too hard imo...

A more dressed up option, is to leave out the denim all together and stick with black, white and red. Simply fab.

Micheal Kors Jetset Grayson Large Satchel. Buttery soft brown leather, with leather buckle handles and gold hardware. Available at Micheal Kors for $ 348.

Note: The leather on the handles look like vachetta leather, so I suspect they will darken some with age/use.
It's that time of year again! Check out the promo video for Vogue Fashion's Night Out 2011. Excited!!!!

No, that's not a typo. Check out Mira (Duma) and Vika (Gazinskaya) in their colorfully printed dresses. The white backgrounds make the colors pop even more! LOVE!!

Cute plaid wrap dress on Kim Kardashian.

I'm still trying to find out who makes it. (Will update as soon as I do)  This would look great come fall with black opaque tights and knee high boots. No?
Intriguing, mysterious (probably from all the whispering :p ) and the clothes are nice too. I like.
